The goal of the fire prevention office is to maintain a minimum level of fire & life safety for the general public in public buildings throughout the community, through education and enforcement of applicable codes and standards.
The Parksville Volunteer Fire Department completes fire and life safety inspections in public buildings (as defined in the BC Fire Services Act) throughout the fire protection area. Examples of these buildings include, schools, businesses, daycares, industrial sites, municipal buildings, restaurants, apartment buildings and hotel/motels.
