The Parksville Volunteer Fire Department is a composite career and volunteer service consisting of three career and up to 36 volunteer firefighters. Emergency services including fire suppression, rescue, hazardous material mitigation (limited) and backup emergency medical aid are provided for the citizens of and visitors to Parksville, and the outlying Fire Protection District, from the fire hall located at 160 Jensen Avenue West.

Mission Statement:

"The commitment of the Parksville Volunteer Fire Department is to maintain the quality of living in our community by preventing or minimizing injury and the loss of life and/or property from fire or other emergencies that may occur within the area we serve. At the same time, this department strives to improve the quality of life through public education and prevention programs."
